신부님과 택시 운전기사
어떤 신부님과 텍시 운전기사가 같은 날 사망을 했다. 그리고 그들은 동시에 천국에 가게되었다.
그들이 천국에 도착하자 성 베드로는 진주문에서 그들을 기다리고 있다가 반겨 주었다.
성 베드로는 먼저 택시 운전사에게 “날 따라오게” 하며 안내했다. 그 곳은 어마 어마한 저택이었다.
볼링장과 올림픽 사이즈의 수영장도 있었다.
” 세상에~! 너무 감사합니다” 라고 택시 운전사는 감탄을 연발했다.
다음.
베드로는 신부를 데리고 아주 허름하고 험한 동래로 데리고 갔다. 안내한 그 집에는 침대 하나에 낡은 TV 하나 달랑 있었다. 신부는 의아해서 물었다.
“뭐가 잘못된 것 같은데요. 저는 신부에요 교회에 매일 갔으며 매주일 하나님의 말씀을 설교 했습니다.”
그러자 성 베드로가 말했다.
“자네 말이 맞네. 그런데 말이야 자네가 설교할 땐 교인들이 다 졸았지 않는가?
반면에 택시 드라이브가 운전할땐 모두가 간절히 기도를 했단 말일세 …”

The Funny Story of the Taxi Driver and St Peter
A priest and a taxi driver both died and went to heaven. St. Peter was at the Pearly gates waiting for them.
‘Come with me,’ said St. Peter to the taxi driver.
The taxi driver did as he was told and followed St Peter to a mansion. It had everything you could imagine from a bowling alley to an Olympic size pool.
‘Oh my word, thank you,’ said the taxi driver.
Next, St. Peter led the priest to a rough old shack with a bunk bed and a little old television set.
‘Wait, I think you are a little mixed up,’ said the priest. ‘Shouldn’t I be the one who gets the mansion? After all I was a priest, went to church every day, and preached God’s word.’
‘Yes, that’s true.’ St Peter rejoined, ‘ But during your sermons people slept. When the taxi driver drove, everyone prayed.’
