the grace
of

God

appeared

salvation

“No”

self-
controlled,

godly
lives

wait  for
the blessed
hope

the
appearing of
the glory
of

great God

and

Savior,

gave
himself
for us

redeem
us

all wickedness

to purify
for himself

that are

In their
fright

the women
bowed
down

with
their faces

Love is Not Self-Seeking


1 Corinthians Chapter 13

If
I speak

in
the tongues
of men

or of angels,

but
do not
have love,

I am only
a resounding
gong

or
a clanging
cymbal.

2

If
I have
the gift of
prophecy

and can
fathom all
mysteries

and all
knowledge,

and

if
I have
a faith

that
can move
mountains,

but
do not
have love,

I am nothing.

3

If
I give
all I possess

to
the poor

and

give over
my body to
hardship

that
I may
boast,

but
do not
have love,

I gain nothing.

4

Love is
patient,

love is
kind.

It
does not
envy,

it
does not
boast,

it is not
proud.

5

It
does not
dishonor
others,

it
is not
self-seeking,

it is not easily
angered,

it
keeps
no record of
wrongs.

6

Love
does not
delight in evil

but

rejoices
with the
truth.

7

It

always

protects,

always trusts,

always hopes,

always perseveres.

8

Love never fails.

But

where
there are
prophecies,

they will cease;

where
there are
tongues,

they will be stilled;

where
there is
knowledge,

it will pass away.

9

For
we know
in part

and
we prophesy
in part,

10

but
when
completeness
comes,

what is in part
disappears.

11

When
I was a child,

I talked
like a child,

I thought
like a child,

I reasoned
like a child.

When
I became
a man,

I put
the ways of
childhood

behind
me.

For now

we see
only

a reflection as
in a mirror;

then
we shall see
face to
face.

Now
I know
in part;

then
I shall know
fully,

even as
I am fully
known.

And now

these three
remain:

faith,

hope

love.

the greatest

Romans 6:1-23

Dead to Sin, Alive to God

6:1

What
shall we say
then?

Shall we
continue in
sin

that
grace may
abound? 

2 

Certainly
not!

How
shall we who
died to sin

live
any longer
in it? 

3

Or
do you
not know

that
as many of us as
were baptized

into
Christ Jesus
were baptized into
His death? 

4 

Therefore
we were buried
with Him

through
baptism into
death,

that
just as
Christ was
raised

from
the dead

by
the glory
of the Father,

even so
we also should
walk

in
newness
of life.

5

 For
if we
have been
united together

in
the likeness
of His death,

certainly

we
also shall be
in the likeness
of

His
resurrection,

 knowing
this,

that
our old man
was crucified
with Him,

that
the body
of sin

might be
done away
with,

that

should

no longer

be slaves
of sin.

he who
has died

has been
freed from

with Christ,

we shall also live
with Him,

Death
no longer
has dominion

over Him.

He died
to sin

the life

lives
to God.

yourselves

to be dead
indeed
to sin,

alive to God

our Lord.

 Therefore

do not

let sin

reign

in
your mortal
body, that you should
obey it in its
lusts.

do not

present

your
members
(any part of yourself )

as
instruments
of unrighteousness
to sin,

but

present

yourselves

to God

as
being alive
from the dead,

and
your members
(every part of yourself )

as
instruments of
righteousness
to God.

 For
sin shall not
have dominion
over you,

for
you are not
under law

but
under grace.

From Slaves of Sin to Slaves of God

15

 What then?

Shall we sin
because we are not
under law

but
under grace?

Certainly

not! 

16 

Do you not know
that to whom you present
yourselves slaves
to obey,

you are
that one’s slaves
whom you
obey,

whether
of sin leading
to

death,

or
of obedience
leading
to

righteousness? 

17

 But
God be thanked
that though you were
slaves of sin,

yet
you obeyed
from the heart

that form of
doctrine to which
you were
delivered. 

18 

And
having been
set free from
sin,

you
became
slaves of

righteousness. 

19

 I speak
in human terms

because
of the weakness
of your flesh.

For just as
you presented

your members
as slaves of
uncleanness,

and of lawlessness
leading to more
lawlessness,

so now
present your
members

as
slaves

of
righteousness
for holiness.

20

 For
when you were
slaves of sin,

you were
free in regard
to righteousness. 

21

 What fruit
did you have then
in the things

of
which
you are now
ashamed?

For the end of
those things
is

death. 


22 

But now
having been
set free from sin,

and having become
slaves of God,

you have
your fruit
to holiness,

and

the end,

everlasting
life.

For
the wages
of sin

is
death,

but

the gift of
God
is

eternal life

in
Christ Jesus

Revelation 21:3-8

And I heard
a loud
voice

from
the throne
saying,

“Look!

God’s
dwelling place is
now

among
the people,

and he will
dwell with
them.

They
will be
his people,

and

God
himself
will be with
them

and
be their

God.

4

‘He will
wipe every tear
from their
eyes.

There will be
no more
death’

or
mourning

or
crying

or
pain,

for the old order
of things has
passed
away.”

5

He
who was seated
on the throne
said,

“I am making
everything
new!”

Then
he said,

“Write
this down,

for
these words
are

trustworthy

and

true.”

He said to me:
“It is done.

I am

the Alpha

and

the Omega,

the Beginning

and

the End.

To
the thirsty

I
will
give water

without
cost

from
the spring
of

the water of
life.

Those
who are
victorious
will

inherit
all this,

and
I will be their
God

they will be
my children.

But

the cowardly,

the unbelieving,

the vile,

the murderers,

magic arts,
