That
which was
from the beginning,
which
we have
heard,
which
we have seen
with our
eyes,
which
we have
looked at
and
our hands
have touched—
this
we proclaim
concerning the
Word of
life.

The life
appeared;
we
have seen
it
and
testify to
it,
and
we proclaim
to you
the eternal life,
which
was with
the Father
and has
appeared
to us.

We proclaim to you

and heard,
so that you also may have
fellowship with us.
And our fellowship is

This is
the message
we have heard from him
and declare to you:
God is light;
in
him
there is no
darkness
at all.

we claim
to have fellowship
with him
and yet
walk in
the darkness,
we lie
and
do not
live out
the truth.

But
if we walk
in the light,
as
he is in
the light,
we have
fellowship with
one another,
and
the blood of
Jesus,
his Son,
purifies us
from
all sin.

If
we claim
to be without
sin,
we
deceive
ourselves
and
the truth
is not in us.

If
we
confess our
sins,
he is
faithful and
just
and
will
forgive us
our sins
and purify us
from all
unrighteousness.

out to be
a liar

his word

A New Creation
Therefore,

anyone is in
Christ,

a new creation;

do you think?

a man owns

Peter came to
Jesus

my brother

fell to his knees

went off

prison
until

the debt.

the other servants
saw what had

outraged
and went
and told their master
everything that had
happened.

‘I canceled
all that debt of

because
you begged me to.

have had mercy on
your fellow
servant
just as

handed him over

The Parable of the Persistent Widow
1
Then
Jesus told
his disciples
a parable to show
them
that
they should
always pray
and
not give up.

He said:
“In a certain town
there was
a judge
who
neither feared
God
nor
cared what people
thought.
3
And
there was a widow
in that town
who
kept coming
to him with
the plea,
‘Grant me justice
against
my adversary.’
4
“For some time
he refused.
But
finally he said
to himself,
‘Even though
I don’t fear
God
or
care what people
think,
5
yet
because
this widow keeps
bothering
me,
I will see that
she gets
justice,
so that
she won’t
eventually come
and attack
me!’”

the Lord said,
“Listen to
what the unjust
judge
says.

will not God
bring about
justice
for his
chosen ones,
who
cry out to
him
day and night?
Will
he keep
putting them
off?

I
tell you,

will
see that
they get justice,
