You are Mindful of Them

Lord,
our Lord,

how
majestic
is your name
in all the earth!

You
have set
your glory
in the heavens.

Through
the praise of
children and
infants

you have
established

a stronghold
against your
enemies,

to silence
the foe  and
the avenger.

When
I consider
your heavens,

the work of
your fingers,

the moon
and the stars,
which you have
set in place,

what is
mankind that
you are mindful
of them,

human beings
that you care
for them?

지쳐있는
사람에게

“수고 많았어”
말 해주면

금방 좋아집니다

힘들어 하는
사람에게

“많이 힘들지”
말 해주면

금방 힘이납니다

톨아진
사람에게

“내가 미안해”
말 해주면

금방 풀리게 됩니다

울고있는
사람에게

“괜찮아질거야”
말 해주면

금방 웃게됩니다

위로는
특별한게
아니라

마음을
읽어 주는 것
입니다

As for you,

you
were
dead

in
your
transgressions
and sins,

 in which
you used to
live

when you followed
the ways of
this world

and
of the ruler
of

the
kingdom of
the air,

the spirit
who is now
at work

in
those
who are
disobedient.

 All of us
also lived
among them

at one time,

gratifying
the cravings of
our flesh

and
following
its desires

and thoughts.

Like
the rest,

we
were
by nature

deserving of

wrath.

because of
his great
love

for us,

God,
who is rich in

mercy,

 made us
alive with
Christ

even

by grace

너 자신을 아프게 하지 말라!

상처를 입는 사람은
다른 사람들로부터 상처를 받는 것이 아니라
자기 스스로 상처를 내는 것이다.

자기 자신에게 상처를 내지 않는 사람은
끝없이 많은 고통을 당해도 강해진 채
고통에서 걸어 나온다.

자기를 스스로 배반하는 사람은
자신으로부터 고통을 당하고,

아무도 그를 반대하지 않아도
그는 무너져 나락으로 떨어지고 만다.

비록 아주 많은 사람들이
그에게 상처를 내고 부당하게 다룰지라도,

그는 항상 다른 사람을 통해서가 아니라
자기 자신을 통해 고통을 받는다.

우리는 우리 자신을 위하여
깨어 있고 분별력을 갖도록 하자!

그리고 모든 씁쓸한 일을
고귀한 마음으로 참아 견디어내자!

Credited to Him as Righteousness

 As it is written:

“I have made you
a father of

many nations.”

He is
our father
in the sight of
God,

in whom
he believed—

the God
who gives life
to the dead

and
calls into
being things

that were not.

18

Against all hope,

Abraham in hope
believed

and so became
the father of
many nations,

just as
it had been said
to him,

“So shall your offspring be.”

19

Without
weakening in
his faith,

he faced
the fact
that

his body was
as good as
dead

since
he was about
a hundred years
old

and that
Sarah’s womb was
also dead.

20

Yet

he did not waver
through
unbelief

regarding
the promise of
God,

but was strengthened
in his faith

and gave
glory to God,

21

being fully
persuaded
that

God
had  power
to do

what
he had
promised.

22

This is why

“it was credited to him

as righteousness.”

23

The words
“it was credited to him”
were written

not
for him alone,

24

but also for us,

to whom

God will credit

righteousness—

for us

who

believe in him

who

raised
Jesus our

Lord

from the dead.

25

He was
delivered over
to death

for our sins

and was

raised to life

for

our

justification.
