For

the grace
of

God

has
appeared

that
offers

salvation

to
all people.

It
teaches
us

to say

“No”

to
ungodliness

and
worldly
passions,

and

to
live

self-
controlled,

upright

and

godly
lives

in
this present
age,

13

while

we
wait  for
the blessed
hope

the
appearing of
the glory
of

our
great God

and

Savior,
Jesus Christ,

14

who

gave
himself
for us

to
redeem
us

from
all wickedness

and
to purify
for himself

a people
that are
his very own,

eager

to do

what is good.

The City of Righteousness, The Faithful City

I
will
restore

your
leaders as in
days of
old,

    your
rulers as
at the beginning.

Afterward
you will be
called

    the City of
Righteousness,

    the Faithful City.”

Zion
will be
delivered

with
justice,

    her
penitent ones

with
righteousness.

rebels
and sinners

will

broken,

    and

those
who forsake
the Lord

perish.

ashamed

because of
the sacred
oaks

you have
delighted;

disgraced

Preserve me,
O God:

for in thee
do I put my
trust.

O my soul,

hast said
unto the Lord,

art my Lord:

my goodness
extendeth not
to thee;

to the saints
that are

in
the earth,

and
to the excellent,
in whom
is

all
my delight.

Their
sorrows

drink offerings
of blood

offer,

The Lord

portion of
