은총(恩寵)

은총은 소낙비처럼
퍼붓지 않아도 좋아라

그분을 내 마음에 모신 것이
언제였던가

첫사랑의 순수한 기쁨
아지랑이처럼 피어올라

나의 작은 가슴이
터질 듯 충만했던 그때 이후

지금까지 살아온 나의 인생길
가만히 뒤돌아보면

아!
한순간도 내 곁을 떠나지 않은
그분의 한결같은 동행

크신 그 은총 생각할 때마다
남몰래 눈물짓네

오늘도 그분의 은총의 이슬비

Isaiah Chapter 42

The Servant of the Lord

1

“Here is my servant,
whom I uphold,

my chosen one

in
whom
I delight;

I will
put my Spirit
on him,

and

he will

bring justice

to the nations.

2

He will not
shout or cry out,

or
raise his voice
in the streets.

3

A bruised reed
he will not
break,

and
a smoldering wick
he will not
snuff out.


In faithfulness

he will

bring forth

justice;

4

he will not
falter

or
be discouraged


till

 he

establishes

justice on earth.

In his teaching
the islands will put
their hope.”

This is
what God the Lord
says—


the Creator of
the heavens,

who
stretches them
out,

who
spreads out
the earth

with
all that springs
from it,

who
gives breath to
its people,

and life
to those who walk
on it:

“I, the Lord,
have called you
in righteousness;

I will take hold of
your hand.


I will
keep you
and will make you

to be
a covenant for
the people

and a light
for the Gentiles,

7

to open eyes
that are blind,

to free captives
from prison

and to release from
the dungeon

those who
sit in darkness.

“I am the Lord;
that is my name!

I
will not

yield my glory
to another

or my praise
to idols.

9

See,
the former things
have taken place,

and new things
I declare;


before they spring
into being

I announce them
to you.”

a new song,

his praise
from the ends of

you who go down

and all that is
in it,

you islands,
and all who live

Let
the wilderness
and its towns raise
their voices;

the people of
Sela sing for joy;

 let
them
shout from
the mountaintops.

Let
them
give glory to
the Lord

and
proclaim
his praise in
the islands.

The Lord will
march out like
a champion,

like
a warrior
he will stir up
his zeal;

with
a shout
he will raise
the battle cry

and will
triumph over his
enemies.

“For
a long time
I have kept
silent,

I have been
quiet

and
held myself
back.

But now,

like
a woman
in childbirth,

I cry out,
I gasp and pant.

15

I will lay waste
the mountains
and hills

and dry up
all their
vegetation;


I will
turn rivers into
islands

and
dry up
the pools.

16

I will lead
the blind
by ways they have not
known,

along
unfamiliar paths
I will guide them;


I will turn
the darkness
into light
before them

and make
the rough places
smooth.

These are
the things I will do;

 I will not

forsake them.

17

But
those who

trust

in idols,

who say to images,

‘You are our gods,’
will be turned back
in utter shame.

Israel Blind and Deaf

“Hear, you deaf;
look, you blind,
and see!

19

Who is blind
but my servant,

and deaf
like the messenger
I send?

Who is blind
like the one in covenant
with me,

blind like
the servant of
the Lord?

20

You have seen
many things,

but

you pay

no attention;

your ears are open,

but

you do not

listen.”

21

It pleased the Lord

 for
the sake of
his righteousness

to make
his law great and
glorious.

22

But
this is a people
plundered and looted,

all of them
trapped in pits

or hidden away
in prisons.


They
have become
plunder,

with
no one to rescue
them;


they
have been made
loot,

with
no one to say,

“Send them back.”

23

Which
of you will listen
to this

 or pay
close attention i
n time to come?

24

Who
handed Jacob
over to become loot,

and Israel to the plunderers?


Was it not the Lord,

against whom we have sinned?


For they would not
follow his ways;

they

did not

obey his law.

25

So
he poured out
on them

his
burning
anger,

the violence of war.


It enveloped them
in flames,

yet

they did not
understand;

it consumed them,

but

they did not

take it

to heart.

쇠하지

의로

네 손을 잡아

눈먼 자들의

갇힌 자를
감옥에서
이끌어 내며

흑암에 앉은 자를
감방에서 나오게

내 찬송을

우상에게

주지 아니하리라

보라
전에 예언한 일이
이미 이루어졌느니라

새 일을 알리노라

바다 가운데의
만물과 섬들과

여호와께

영광을 돌리며

그의 찬송을 전할지어다

용사 같이 나가시며

전사 같이
분발하여

외쳐
크게 부르시며

그 대적을

조용하며

잠잠하고

해산하는 여인 같이

숨이 차서
심히 헐떡일 것이라

언덕들을 황폐하게

못들을

내가 맹인들을

의지하며

들으라

많은 것을 볼지라도
유의하지

그의 의로 말미암아

기쁨으로

존귀하게 하려

이 백성이

도둑 맞으며

탈취를 당하며

다 굴 속에 잡히며

옥에 갇히도다

노략을 당하되

구할 자가 없고

탈취를 당하되

되돌려 주라

말할 자가

이 일에 귀를 기울이겠느냐

누가 뒤에 올 일을

삼가 듣겠느냐

야곱이
탈취를 당하게 하신 자가
누구냐

이스라엘을
약탈자들에게 넘기신 자가
누구냐

여호와가 아니시냐

우리가 그에게
범죄하였도다

그들이

그의 길로

다니기를

원하지 아니하며

그의 교훈을

순종하지

아니하였도다

여호와께서

맹렬한 진노와

전쟁의 위력을

이스라엘에게

쏟아 부으시매

햇빛이
강아지처럼
뒹굴다  가곤
했다

구름이
항아리 속을
기웃거리다 가곤
했다

죽어서도
할머니를 사랑했던
할아버지

지붕 위에
쑥부쟁이로
피어
피어

적막한
정오의 마당을
내려다보곤
했다

움직이지
않을 것 같으면서도
조금씩 떠나
가던 집

빨랫줄에
걸려 있던 구름들이
저의 옷들을 걷어 입고
떠나가고

오후 세 시를 지나
저녁 여섯 시의
골목을
지나

태양이
담벼락에 걸려 있던
햇빛들마저

모두
거두어 가버린
어스름

어디로 갔을까

To a Thousand Generations

“You
shall not
make for yourself
an image

in
the form
of anything
in heaven
above

or
on the
earth
beneath
or in the waters
below.

shall not
bow down to them
or worship
them;

for I,
the Lord
your God,
am a jealous
God,

punishing
the children
for the sin of
the parents

to
the third
and fourth

commandments.

세월

한 올 한 올 느는
새치 속에
내 목숨의
끄트머리도 저만치 보이는가

더러 하루는 지루해도
한 달은, 일 년은
눈 깜짝할 새 흘러

바람같이 멈출 수 없는
세월에게
내 청춘 돌려달라고
애원하지는 않으리

그래도 지나온 생 뒤돌아보면
후회의 그림자는 길어

이제 남은 날들은
알뜰살뜰 보내야 한다고

훌쩍 반 백년 넘어 살고서도
폭 익으려면 아직도 먼
이 얕은 생 깨우칠 수 있도록

Invitations of Wisdom and Folly

Proverbs 9:1-18

1

Wisdom
has built her
house;

she
has set up
its seven pillars.

2

She
has prepared
her meat

and mixed
her wine;

she has
also set her
table.

3

She has
sent out her
servants,

and
she calls
 from
the highest point
of the city,

4

“Let all
who are simple
come to my house!”

To those who
have no sense
she says,

5

“Come,
eat my food

and drink
the wine I have
mixed.

6

Leave
your simple
ways

and
you will live;

walk
in the way of'”
insight.”

7

Whoever corrects
a mocker invites
insults;

whoever rebukes
the wicked incurs
abuse.

8

Do not
rebuke mockers
or they will hate you;

rebuke
the wise

and

they will love you.

9

Instruct
the wise

and they will be
wiser still;

teach
the righteous

and they will add to
their learning.

10

The fear of the Lord is
the beginning of
wisdom,

and knowledge
of the Holy One is
understanding.

11

For through wisdom
your days will be
many,

and years will be
added to your
life.

12

If you are wise,

your wisdom will
reward you;

if you are a mocker,

you alone
will suffer.

Folly is
an unruly
woman;

she is simple

and knows

nothing.

She sits
at the door of
her house,

on a seat
at the highest point of
the city,

calling out
to those who
pass by,

who go straight
on their way,

“Let all
who are simple
come to my house!”

To those
who have no sense
she says,

“Stolen water
is sweet;

food eaten

do they know

the dead are

there,
