The Lord your God will Bless You

Deuteronomy Chapter 28:2-14

All these blessings will come on you
and accompany you
if you obey the Lord your God:

You will be

blessed

in the city

and blessed

in the country.

The fruit of your womb
will be blessed,

and the crops of your land
and the young of your livestock—

the calves of your herds
and the lambs of your flocks.

Your basket
and your kneading trough
will be blessed.

You will be blessed

when you come in

and blessed

when you go out.

The Lord will grant that
the enemies who rise up against you
will be defeated before you.

They will come at you
from one direction

but flee from you in seven.

The Lord will send a blessing
on your barns and on everything
you put your hand to.

The Lord your God will bless you
in the land he is giving you.

The Lord will establish you
as his holy people,

as he promised you on oath,
if you keep the commands of the Lord
your God and walk in obedience to him.

Then all the peoples on earth
will see that you are called
by the name of the Lord,
and they will fear you.

The Lord will grant you
abundant prosperity—
in the fruit of your womb,

the young of your livestock
and the crops of your ground—
in the land he swore to your ancestors
to give you.

The Lord will open the heavens,

the storehouse of his bounty,

to send rain on your land in season

and to bless all the work of your hands.

You will lend to many nations

but will borrow from none.

The Lord
will make you the head,
not the tail.

If you
pay attention to
the commands of the Lord
your God

that
I give you this day
and carefully follow them,

you will
always be at the top,
never at the bottom.

Do not turn aside
from any of the commands
I give you today,

to the right
or to the left,

following other gods
and serving them.

네 주 하나님께서 네게 복을 주실 것이라

신명기 28:2-14

28:2

네가 네 하나님 여호와의 말씀을 청종하면
이 모든 복이 네게 임하며 네게 이르리니

28:3

성읍에서도 복을 받고

들에서도 복을 받을 것이며

28:4

네 몸의 자녀와
네 토지의 소산과 네 짐승의 새끼와
소와 양의 새끼가 복을 받을 것이며

28:5

네 광주리와 떡 반죽 그릇이

복을 받을 것이며

28:6

네가 들어와도 복을 받고

나가도 복을 받을 것이니라

28:7

여호와께서
너를 대적하기 위해 일어난 적군들을
네 앞에서 패하게 하시리라

그들이 한 길로 너를 치러 들어왔으나
네 앞에서 일곱 길로 도망하리라

28:8

여호와께서 명령하사

네 창고와

네 손으로 하는 모든 일에

복을 내리시고

네 하나님 여호와께서

네게 주시는 땅에서

네게 복을 주실 것이며

28:9

여호와께서
네게 맹세하신 대로
너를 세워 자기의 성민이 되게 하시리니

이는 네가 네 하나님 여호와의 명령을 지켜
그 길로 행할 것임이니라

28:10

땅의 모든 백성이

여호와의 이름이
너를 위하여 불리는 것을 보고
너를 두려워하리라

28:11

여호와께서
네게 주리라고 네 조상들에게
맹세하신 땅에서 네게 복을 주사

네 몸의 소생과 가축의 새끼와
토지의 소산을 많게 하시며

28:12

여호와께서 너를 위하여
하늘의 아름다운 보고를 여시사

네 땅에 때를 따라 비를 내리시고

네 손으로 하는 모든 일에 복을 주시리니

네가 많은 민족에게 꾸어줄지라도

너는 꾸지 아니할 것이요

28:13

여호와께서 너를 머리가 되고
꼬리가 되지 않게 하시며
위에만 있고 아래에 있지 않게 하시리니

오직 너는
내가 오늘 네게 명령하는
네 하나님 여호와의 명령을 듣고
지켜 행하며

28:14

내가 오늘
너희에게 명령하는 그 말씀을 떠나

좌로나 우로나

치우치지 아니하고

다른 신을 따라 섬기지 아니하면

이와 같으리라

Build Each Other Up

You
are all children
of light

and
children
of the day.

We
don’t belong
to the night,

nor
to darkness,

so then
let’s not sleep,

as
the rest do,

but
let’s watch
and be sober.

For
those who sleep,

sleep
in the night;

and
those who are
drunk are drunk
in the night.

But
since we belong
to the day,

let’s
be sober,

putting on
the breastplate of

faith

and

love,

and
for a helmet,

the hope

salvation.

For
God didn’t
appoint us

to
wrath,

but
to the obtaining of
salvation

through

our Lord

Jesus Christ,

who

died

for us,

that,
whether
we wake or sleep,

should

live

together

with him.

Therefore

exhort
one another,

and
build each other up,
even as you
also do.

But
we beg you,
brothers,

to know
those who labor
among you,

and
are over you
in the Lord,

and
admonish
you,

and
to respect
and honor them
in love

for
their work’s
sake.

Be
at peace

among
yourselves.

We
exhort you,
brothers:

Admonish
the disorderly;

encourage
the faint-
hearted;

support
the weak;

be patient
toward all.

See that

no one
returns evil for evil
to anyone,

but
always
follow after

that
which is good

for
one another

and
for all.

Always

rejoice.

Pray

without
ceasing.

In
everything

give thanks,

for
this is
the will of God

in
Christ Jesus
toward
you.

Don’t
quench
the Spirit.

Don’t
despise
prophecies.

Test
all things,

and
hold firmly
that which is
good.

Abstain

from

every form

of evil.

May
the God of peace
himself sanctify you
completely.

May
your whole spirit,
soul, and body

be
preserved
blameless

at
the coming of
our Lord

Jesus
Christ.

He
who calls you
is faithful,

who
will also do it.
