He will Rejoice over You with Singing
Zephaniah Chapter 3

1

Woe
to the city of
oppressors,

    rebellious

and

defiled!

2

She obeys
no one,

   she
accepts
no correction.

She
does not
trust in the

Lord,

  she
does not
draw near to
her

God.

3

Her
officials
within her
are

roaring lions;


her
rulers
are

evening wolves,

 who
leave
nothing for
the morning.

4

Her
prophets
are

unprincipled;

  they are
treacherou
people.


Her
priests
profane

the sanctuary

 and

do
violence

to the law.

5

The Lord
within her
is

righteous;

   he
does

no wrong.

Morning
by morning

he
dispenses

his justice,

  and
every
new day

he
does not
fail,

   yet

the
unrighteous
know

no shame.

Jerusalem Remains Unrepentant

“I have
destroyed
nations;

   their
strongholds
are

demolished.


I
have
left their streets
deserted,

   with
no one passing
through.

Their
cities are
laid waste;

   they are
deserted and
empty.

7

Of
Jerusalem
I thought,

   ‘Surely
you will fear
me

and
accept
correction!

’
Then

her
place of refuge
would not
be

destroyed,

nor

all my
punishments

come
upon her.

But

they
were
still eager to act

corruptly

in
all
they did.

8

Therefore
wait for
me,”

declares
the Lord,

   “for the day
I will stand up
to testify.

I
have
decided to
assemble

the nations,

to
gather
the kingdoms

and
to pour
out

my wrath

on them
all my fierce
anger.

The whole world
will be

consumed

 by
the fire of
my jealous
anger.

Restoration of Israel’s  Remnant

“Then
I will purify

the lips

of
the
peoples,

   that
all of them
may call on the
name of

the Lord

 and
serve him

shoulder to
shoulder.

10

From
beyond
the rivers of
Cush


  my
worshipers,

my
scattered
people,

will
bring me
offerings.

11

On that day

you,
Jerusalem,

will not be put
to shame

   for
all the wrongs
you have done
to me

,
because
I will remove
from
you

your
arrogant
boasters.

Never again
will you be
haughty

on my holy hill.

12

But
I will leave
within you


 the meek

and

humble.

The remnant
of Israel will trust in
the name
of

the Lord.

13

They
will do

no wrong;

   they
will tell

no lies.

A deceitful
tongue

   will not be
found

in their
mouths.

They
will eat
and lie down

 and

no one
will make
them

afraid.”

14

Sing,

Daughter
Zion;

    shout aloud,
Israel!


Be glad
and rejoice

with
all your
heart,

   Daughter
Jerusalem!

15

The Lord
has taken
away

your punishment,

   he has
turned back
your enemy.

The Lord,
the King of Israel,
is with you;


  never again
will you
fear

any harm.

16

On that day

   they
will say
to Jerusalem,


“Do not fear, Zion;

   do not let your hands
hang limp.

17

The Lord
your God is
with you,

   the Mighty Warrior
who saves.


He will take
great delight
in you;

    in his love

he
will
no longer
rebuke you,

 but

will
rejoice
over you

with singing.”

18

“I will
remove
from you all

who
mourn over
the loss of your
appointed

festivals,

    which is
a burden and
reproach for
you.

19

At that time

I will
deal
 with

all who
oppressed
you.

I will rescue
the lame;

  I will gather
the exiles.


I will
give them

praise
and honor

   in
every land
where they
have

suffered shame.

20

At that time
I will gather
you;

  at that time
I will bring you
home.


I will
give you honor
and praise

   among
all the peoples
of the earth

when
I restore your
fortunes

before
your very
eyes,”

says the Lord.

선지자들은

경솔하고

간사한

성소를 더럽히고

계시는

여호와는 의로우사

불의를 행하지
아니하시고

아침마다 빠짐없이
자기의 공의를
비추시거늘

불의한 자는

수치를

알지
못하는도다

내가
여러 나라를
끊어 버렸으므로

그들의 망대가
파괴되었고

내가
그들의 거리를
비게 하여

지나는 자가
없게 하였으므로

그들의
모든 성읍이
황폐하며

사람이 없으며

거할 자가 없게
되었느니라

내가 이르기를

너는 오직
나를 경외하고

교훈을 받으라

그리하면

내가
형벌을 내리기로
정하기는
하였지만

너의 거처가
끊어지지 아니하리라
하였으나

그들이
부지런히

그들의
모든 행위를 더럽게
하였느니라

나 여호와가 말하노라

그러므로
내가 일어나

벌할 날까지
너희는 나를
기다리라

내가
뜻을 정하고

나의 분노와
모든 진노를
쏟으려고

여러 나라를
소집하며

왕국들을 모으리라

온 땅이
나의 질투의 불에
소멸되리라

그 때에

내가
여러 백성의

입술을

깨끗하게 하여

그들이 다
여호와의 이름을
부르며

한 가지로 나를
섬기게
하리니

내게
구하는 백성들

곧 내가
흩은 자의 딸이

건너편에서부터
예물을 가지고
와서

내게 바칠지라

그 날에

네가 내게 범죄한
모든 행위로
말미암아

수치를 당하지
아니할 것은

네 가운데서
교만하여 자랑하는

않게

In Everything Give Thanks, for This is The Will of God

1 Thessalonians 5

5:1

But
concerning
the times

and
the seasons,

brothers
and Sisters,

you
have no need

that
anything
be written to
you.

2

For
you yourselves
know well

that
the day of
the Lord comes

like
a thief
in the night.

3

For
when they
are saying,

“Peace and safety,”

then

sudden
destruction
will come on them,

like
birth pains
on a pregnan
woman.

Then

they will in
no way escape.

4

But  you,

brothers and sisters,
are not in darkness,

So that
this day
should surprise
you

like a thief.

5

You
are all children
of light

and
children
of the day.

We
don’t belong
to the night,

nor
to darkness,

6

so then
let’s not sleep,

as
the rest do,

but
let’s watch
and be sober.

7

For
those who sleep,

sleep
in the night;

and
those who are
drunk are drunk
in the night.

But
since we belong
to the day,

be sober,

putting on
the breastplate of

faith

for a helmet,
