Your Faith and Hope are in God

Therefore,
with minds
that are
alert
and
fully sober,
set
your hope
on the grace
to be brought
to you
when
Jesus Christ is
revealed
at
his coming.
14
As obedient
children,
do not
conform
to
the evil desires
you had
when you lived
in ignorance.
15
But just as
he who called you
is holy,
so be holy
in all you do;
16
for it is written:
“Be holy,
because
I am holy.”
17
Since
you call on
a Father
who judges
each person’s
work impartially,
live out
your time
as
foreigners here
in reverent
fear.
18
For you know that
it was not
with perishable
things
such as
silver or gold
that
you were
redeemed
from
the empty way
of life
handed down
to you
from
your ancestors,
19
but
with
the precious
blood of
Christ,
a lamb
without
blemish
or defect.
20
He was chosen
before
the creation of
the world,
but
was revealed
in these
last times
for your sake.
21
Through him
you believe in
God,
who
raised him
from the dead
and glorified
him,
and so
your faith
and hope
are in God.

외모로
보시지 않고
각 사람의
행위대로
판단하시는
이를
너희가
아버지라 부른즉
너희가
나그네로 있을
때를
두려움으로 지내라

알거니와
너희 조상이 물려준
헛된 행실에서
대속함을
받은 것은
은이나
금 같이 없어질
것으로
된 것이 아니요
19
오직 흠 없고
점 없는 어린 양
같은
그리스도의
보배로운 피로
된 것이니라

그는
창세 전부터
미리 알린 바 된
이나
이 말세에
너희를 위하여
나타내신 바
되었으니
21
너희는
그를
죽은 자
가운데서
살리시고
영광을 주신
하나님을
그리스도로
말미암아
믿는 자니

소망이
