시장바닥

가난한

소도시에서

밑불 없는 불씨

돌아오는 길에
축대 밑에서

미끄러졌습니다
낮게
내려앉은
하늘 언덕 위로
지게꾼처럼
느릿느릿 저녁이 오고
있습니다
그러고 보면
희망이란 얼마나
큰 고통인지
집집마다
켜 놓은
알전등에
눈물꽃 피는
저녁
기차 소리인지
먼 기억의
소리인지
전깃줄 위
소리의 적막에
놀라
날아가는
새 한 마리
좇아
오늘도
굴뚝에 헛연기를
피워
하늘로 띄웁니다
