The Ruler of All Things

Wealth and honor
come from you;
you are
the ruler of all things.
In your hands are
strength and power to exalt
and give strength to all.

The Tongue of The Righteous

The tongue
of the righteous is
choice silver,

but
the heart
of the wicked is
of little
value.

The lips
of the righteous
nourish many,

fools die
for lack of
judgment.

The blessing
of the LORD
brings wealth,

“To the angel of
the church in
Laodicea
write:

These are
the words of
the Amen,

the faithful
and true witness,

the ruler of
God’s creation.

I know your deeds,

that you are neither

cold nor hot.

I wish you were

either one

or the other!

So, because

you are

lukewarm

neither hot

nor cold

I am about to

spit you out of

my mouth.

You say,

‘I am rich;

I have acquired
wealth

and do not need
a thing.’

But

you do not
realize

that

you are  wretched,

pitiful,

poor,

blind

and

naked.

I counsel you

to buy from me

gold refined

in the fire,

so you can

become rich;

and white clothes
to wear,

so you can

cover your shameful

nakedness;

and salve

to put on your eyes,

so you can see.

Those whom I love

I rebuke

and discipline.

So be earnest

repent.

This People’s Heart
has Become Calloused

He replied,

the knowledge of
the secrets of the kingdom
of heaven has been given to you,

but
not to them.

Whoever has
will be given more,

and
they will have
an abundance.

Whoever
does not have,

even
what they have
will be taken from
them.

This is why
I speak to them
in parables:

“Though seeing,
they do not
see;

though hearing,
they do not
hear

or
understand.

In them
is fulfilled
the prophecy of Isaiah:

“‘You
will be
ever hearing

but
never
understanding;

you
will be
ever seeing

but
never
perceiving.

For
this people’s heart
has become calloused;

they
hardly hear
with their ears,

and
they have closed
their eyes.

Otherwise

they
might see
with their eyes,

hear
with their ears,

understand
with their hearts

and turn,

and
I would heal
them.’

But
blessed are
your eyes

because
they see,

and
your ears

because
they hear.

For truly I tell you,

many prophets
and righteous people
longed to see

what
you see

but
did not
see it,

and
to hear

what
you hear

but
did not
hear it.

“Listen then
to what the parable
of the sower means:

When
anyone hears
the message about
the kingdom

understand it,

the evil one
comes and snatches away
what was sown
in their heart.

가시 떨기에

세상의 염려와

결실하지 못하는
