We are Perplexed, But Not in Despair
2 Corinthians 4:3-18
3
But even if our gospel is veiled, i
t is veiled to those who are perishing,
4
whose minds the god of this age has blinded,
who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of
the glory of Christ, who is the image of God,
should shine on them.
5
For we do not preach ourselves,
but Christ Jesus the Lord,
and ourselves your bondservants
for Jesus’ sake.
6
For it is the God who commanded
light to shine out of darkness,
who has shone in our hearts
to give the light of the knowledge of
the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Cast Down but Unconquered
7
But we have this treasure
in earthen vessels,
that the excellence of
the power may be of God
and not of us.
8
We are hard-pressed on every side,
yet not crushed;
we are perplexed,
but not in despair;
9
persecuted, but not forsaken;
struck down, but not destroyed—
10
always carrying about in the body
the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus
also may be manifested in our body.
11
For we who live are always delivered
to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus
also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
12
So then death is working in us,
but life in you.
13
And since we have the same spirit of faith,
according to what is written,
“I believed and therefore I spoke,”
we also believe and therefore speak,
14
knowing that He who raised up
the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus,
and will present us with you.
15
For all things are for your sakes,
that grace, having spread through the many,
may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
Seeing the Invisible
16
Therefore we do not lose heart.
Even though our outward man is perishing,
yet the inward man is being
renewed day by day.
17
For our light affliction,
which is but for a moment,
is working for us a far more exceeding
and eternal weight of glory,
18
while we do not look at
the things which are seen,
but at the things which are not seen.
For the things which are seen are temporary,
but the things which are not seen are eternal.

답답한 일을 당하여도 낙심하지 아니하며

만일 우리의 복음이 가리었으면
망하는 자들에게 가리어진 것이라
4
그 중에 이 세상의 신이 믿지 아니하는 자들의 마음을
혼미하게 하여 그리스도의 영광의 복음의 광채가
비치지 못하게 함이니 그리스도는 하나님의 형상이니라
5
우리는 우리를 전파하는 것이 아니라
오직 그리스도 예수의 주 되신것과 또 예수를 위하여
우리가 너희의 종 된 것을 전파함이라
6
어두운 데에 빛이 비치라 말씀하셨던 그 하나님께서
예수 그리스도의 얼굴에 있는 하나님의 영광을 아는 빛을
우리 마음에 비추셨느니라
7
우리가 이 보배를 질그릇에 가졌으니
이는 심히 큰 능력은 하나님께 있고
우리에게 있지 아니함을 알게 하려 함이라
8
우리가 사방으로 욱여쌈을 당하여도
싸이지 아니하며
답답한 일을 당하여도
낙심하지 아니하며
9
박해를 받아도 버린 바 되지 아니하며
거꾸러뜨림을 당하여도 망하지 아니하고
10
우리가 항상 예수의 죽음을 몸에 짊어짐은
예수의 생명이 또한 우리 몸에 나타나게 하려 함이라
11
우리 살아 있는 자가
항상 예수를 위하여 죽음에 넘겨짐은
예수의 생명이 또한
우리 죽을 육체에 나타나게 하려 함이라
12
그런즉 사망은 우리 안에서 역사하고
생명은 너희 안에서 역사하느니라
13
기록된 바 내가 믿었으므로 말하였다 한 것 같이
우리가 같은 믿음의 마음을 가졌으니 우
리도 믿었으므로 또한 말하노라
14
주 예수를 다시 살리신 이가
예수와 함께 우리도 다시 살리사
너희와 함께 그 앞에 서게 하실 줄을 아노라
15
이는 모든 것이 너희를 위함이니
많은 사람의 감사로 말미암아 은혜가 더하여 넘쳐서
하나님께 영광을 돌리게 하려 함이라
겉사람과 속사람
16
그러므로 우리가 낙심하지 아니하노니
우리의 겉사람은 낡아지나
우리의 속사람은 날로 새로워지도다
17
우리가 잠시 받는 환난의 경한 것이
지극히 크고 영원한 영광의 중한 것을
우리에게 이루게 함이니
18
우리가 주목하는 것은
보이는 것이 아니요 보이지 않는 것이니
보이는 것은 잠깐이요
보이지 않는 것은 영원함이라
