Open
the gates

that
the righteous
nation may
enter,

    the nation

that keeps

faith.

You will

keep in

perfect peace

those

whose minds

are

steadfast,

   because

they trust

in you.

Trust

in the Lord

forever,

   for the Lord,

the Lord himself,

is the Rock

eternal.

He
humbles
those who dwell
on high,

   he
lays
the lofty city
low;


he
levels it
to the ground

   and
casts it down
to the dust.

Feet
trample it
down—

    the
feet of
the oppressed,

    the
footsteps of
the poor.

The
path of
the righteous is
level;

    you,
the Upright
One,

make
the way of
the righteous
smooth.

Yes, Lord,

walking

in the way of your

laws,

we wait
for you;

your name

and renown

   are

the desire of

our hearts.

Dead Idols and the Living God

46:1

Bel bows
down,

Nebo
stoops;

Their
idols were
on the beasts

and

on
the cattle.

Your
carriages
were heavily
loaded,

A burden
to the weary
beast.

They
stoop,

they
bow down
together;

They
could not
deliver the burden,

But

have
themselves
gone into

captivity.

“Listen to Me,
O house of Jacob,

And
all the remnant
of the house of
*Israel,

Who
have been
upheld by Me

from
birth,

Who
have been
carried

from
the womb:

Even
to your old
age,

I am He,

And
even to
gray hairs

I
will
carry you!

have
made,

and

I
will
bear;

Even

I
will
carry,

will
deliver
you.

will you liken
Me,

and
make Me
equal

compare
Me,

that
we should be
alike?

They
lavish gold
out of the bag,

우상들은

짐승과
가축에게
실렸으니

너희가
떠메고 다니던
그것들이

피곤한 짐승의
무거운 짐이
되었도다

그들은
구부러졌고

그들은
일제히
엎드러졌으므로

그 짐을
구하여 내지
못하고

자기들도
잡혀 갔느니라

야곱의 집이여
*이스라엘 집에 남은
모든 자여

내게
들을지어다

배에서
태어남으로부터
내게 안겼고

태에서
남으로부터
내게 업힌 너희여

너희가
노년에
이르기까지

내가
그리하겠고

백발이
되기까지

너희를
품을 것이라
