♤하나의 힘♤
한 아파트 근처에 있는 세탁소에서 불이 났습니다.
며칠 뒤 아파트 벽보에는 사과문이 나붙고,
웃을 맡기신 분은 옷 수량을 신고해 달라는 회람이 돌려졌습니다.
그런데 회람 몇 번째 줄에 한 주민이
“아저씨, 저는 양복 한 벌인데 받지 않겠습니다.
그 많은 옷을 어떻게 하시겠습니까. 용기를 내세요.” 라는 말을 적었습니다.
그 말 한마디에 아파트 주민들은 아무도 배상을
받지 않겠다고 하였습니다.
그 후에 누군가 금일봉을 전했고, 또 다른 누군가도 도움의 손길을 보냈습니다.
얼마 뒤 아파트 벽보에 감사문이 붙었습니다.
“주민 여러분,
고맙습니다.
월남전에서 벌어온 돈으로 어렵사리 일구어 온 삶이었는데, 한 순간에 모두 잃고 말았습니다.
하지만 여러분의 따뜻한 사랑이 저에게 삶의 희망을 주었고, 저는 다시 일어설 수 있었습니다.
꼭 은혜에 보답하겠습니다.”
한 방울의 물이 폭포가 되고 한 사람의 힘이 세상을 변화시킨다. 세상을 움직이는 데는 여러 사람의 힘이 필요하나, 여러 사람을 움직이기 위해 필요한 것은
결국 한 사람의 힘이다.
그 한 사람!
그가 바로
