Matthew Chapter16
The Demand for a Sign
16:1
The
Pharisees
and Sadducees
came
to Jesus and
tested
him
by
asking him
to show them
a sign
from heaven.
2
He
replied,
“When
evening comes,
you say,
‘It
will be
fair weather,
for
the sky is red,’
3
and
in the morning,
‘Today
it will be stormy,
for
the sky is red and
overcast.’
You know
how to interpret
the appearance
of
the sky,
but
you cannot
interpret the signs
of the times.
4
A
wicked
and
adulterous
generation
looks for
a sign,
but
none will be
given it
except
the sign of Jonah.”
Jesus
then left them
and went away.
The Yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees

When
they went across
the lake,
the
disciples
forgot to take
bread.
6
“Be careful,”
Jesus
said to them.
“Be
on your guard
against
the yeast
of
the Pharisees
and Sadducees.”
7
They
discussed this
among
themselves and said,
“It is
because
we didn’t bring
any
bread.”
8
Aware of
their discussion,
Jesus asked,
“You
of little faith,
why
are you talking
among yourselves
about
having no bread?
9
Do
you still
not understand?
Don’t
you remember
the five loaves
for the five thousand,
and
how many basketfuls
you gathered?
10
Or
the seven loaves
for the four thousand,
and
how many
basketfuls
you
gathered?
11
How is it
you don’t understand
that
I was not
talking to you
about bread?
But
be
on your
guard
against
the yeast of
the
Pharisees
and Sadducees.”
12
Then
they understood
that
he was not
telling them to guard
against
the yeast used in
bread,
but
against
the teaching
of
the Pharisees
and Sadducees.
Peter Declares That Jesus Is the Messiah

When
Jesus came
to the region of
Caesarea Philippi,
he
asked
his disciples,
“Who
do people say
the
Son of Man
is?”
14
They replied,
“Some say
John the Baptist;
others say
Elijah; and still others,
Jeremiah
or
one of
the prophets.”
15
“But
what about
you?”
he
asked.
“Who
do you say
I am?”
16
Simon Peter
answered,
“You
are
the Messiah,
the Son
of the living
God.”
17
Jesus replied,
“Blessed are you,
Simon
son of Jonah,
for
this was not
revealed to you
by
flesh and
blood,
but
by my Father
in heaven.
18
And
I tell you that
you
are Peter,
and
on this rock
I will build
my church,
and
the gates of
Hades
will not
overcome
it.
19
I
will
give you
the
keys
of the kingdom of
heaven;
whatever
you bind on earth
will be
bound in heaven,
and
whatever
you loose on earth
will be
loosed in heaven.”
20
Then
he ordered
his disciples
not to tell
anyone
that
he was
the Messiah.
Jesus Predicts His Death
21
From
that time on
Jesus
began to
explain to his disciples
that
he must
go to Jerusalem
and
suffer many things
at
the hands of
the elders,
the
chief priests
and the teachers of
the law,
and that
he
must be killed
and
on
the third day
be raised
to life.
22
Peter
took him aside
and
began to rebuke him.
“Never, Lord!”
he said. “
This
shall never
happen to you!”
23
Jesus
turned and said
to Peter,
“Get
behind me,
Satan!
You are
a stumbling block
to me;
you
do not have
in mind
the concerns of God,
but
merely human
concerns.”
24
Then
Jesus said to
his disciples,
“Whoever
wants to be my disciple
must
deny themselves
and
take up their
cross
and
follow me.
25
For
whoever
wants
to save
their life
will
lose it,
but
whoever
loses
their life
for me
will
find it.
26
What good
will it be
for someone
to gain
the
whole world,
yet
forfeit
their soul?
Or
what can
anyone give
in exchange for
their soul?
27
For
the Son of Man
is going to come
in his Father’s glory
with his angels,
and then
he will reward
each person
according to
what they have done.
28
“Truly I tell you,
some
who are standing here
will not taste death
before t
hey see the Son of Man
coming in his kingdom.”

날씨는
분별할 줄 알면서
시대의 표적은
분별할 수 없느냐

악하고
음란한 세대가
표적을 구하나
요나의 표적 밖에는
보여 줄 표적이
없느니라 하시고
그들을 떠나
가시니라

제자들이
건너편으로
갈새
떡
가져가기를
잊었더니
16:6
예수께서
이르시되
삼가
바리새인과
사두개인들의
누룩을
주의하라 하시니
16:7
제자들이
서로 의논하여
이르되
우리가
떡을 가져오지
아니하였도다
하거늘
16:8
예수께서 아시고
이르시되
믿음이
작은 자들아
어찌
떡이 없음으로
서로 의논하느냐
16:9
너희가
아직도 깨닫지
못하느냐
떡
다섯 개로
오천 명을 먹이고
주운 것이
몇 바구니며
16:10
떡
일곱 개로
사천 명을
먹이고
주운 것이
몇 광주리이던
것을
기억하지
못하느냐
16:11
어찌
내 말한 것이
떡에
관함이 아닌 줄을
깨닫지 못하느냐
오직
바리새인과
사두개인들의
누룩을
주의하라 하시니
16:12
그제서야
제자들이
떡의 누룩이 아니요
바리새인과
사두개인들의
교훈을
삼가라고
말씀하신 줄을
깨달으니라

예수께서

사람들이
인자를 누구라 하느냐

더러는
세례 요한, 더러는 엘리야,
어떤 이는
예레미야나 선지자 중의
하나라 하나이다

경고하사
자기가
그리스도인 것을

이 때로부터
예수

자기가 예루살렘에
올라가
장로들과
대제사장들과
서기관들에게
많은
고난을 받고
죽임을 당하고
제삼일에
살아나야 할 것을
제자들에게
비로소 나타내시니

베드로가
예수를
붙들고 항변하여
이르되
주여
그리 마옵소서
이 일이
결코 주에게
미치지 아니하리이다

예수께서
돌이키시며
베드로에게
이르시되
사탄아
내 뒤로 물러 가라
너는
나를 넘어지게 하는
자로다
네가
하나님의 일을
생각하지 아니하고
도리어
사람의 일을
생각하는도다
하시고
16:24
이에
예수께서
제자들에게
이르시되
누구든지
나를 따라오려거든
자기를 부인하고
자기 십자가를 지고
나를 따를 것이니라
16:25
누구든지
제 목숨을 구원하고자
하면
잃을 것이요
누구든지
나를 위하여
제 목숨을 잃으면
찾으리라
16:26
사람이 만일
온 천하를 얻고도
제 목숨을 잃으면
무엇이 유익하리요
사람이
무엇을 주고
제 목숨과 바꾸겠느냐
16:27
인자가
아버지의 영광으로
그 천사들과 함께
오리니
그 때에
각 사람이
행한 대로 갚으리라
16:28
진실로
너희에게 이르노니
여기
서 있는 사람 중에
죽기 전에 인자가
그 왕권을 가지고 오는
것을
볼 자들도
있느니라
