‘IT’S GROTESQUE:
Joe slams Trump from blaming
Ukraine for rising diesel prices

President Trump is blaming Ukraine for record-high diesel fuel prices. While speaking to reporters in Ireland over the weekend, the president said his administration has asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to stop targeting Russian oil refineries. Ukraine did strike more than 20 refinery targets in Russia over the summer, but the main driver of higher fuel prices has been the war in Iran, which has virtually closed the Strait of Hormuz, blocking about one-fifth of global oil exports.
The Morning Joe panel discusses Trump’s efforts to shift blame to Ukraine and what that means.
