Do Not  Conform to The Pattern of This World

Do Not  Conform to The Pattern of This World
Romans 12:1-11

12

Therefore,
I urge you,

brothers
and sisters,

in
view of
God’s mercy,

to
offer
your bodies

as
a living sacrifice,

holy

and

pleasing to

God—

this is

your true

and proper

worship.

2

Do not

conform to

the pattern of

this world,

but

be transformed

by the renewing of

your mind.

Then
you will be able to
test and
approve

what
God’s will is —
his good, pleasing and
perfect
will.

Humble Service
in the Body of
Christ

3

For
by the grace
given me I say to
every one
of you:

Do not think of
yourself more highly
than you
ought,

but rather

think of

yourself

with

sober

judgment,

in

accordance

with the faith

God

has distributed to

each of you.

4

For just as
each of us has
one body

with many
members,

and

these members

do not all have

the same function,

5

so in Christ we,

though many,

form one body,

and
each member
belongs to
all the others.

6

We have

different gifts,

according

to the grace given to

each of us.

If
your gift is
prophesying,

then
prophesy

in accordance with

your faith;

7

if it is serving,
then serve;

if
it is
teaching,

then teach;

8

if
it is
to encourage,

then
give
encouragement;

if
it is
giving,

then
give generously;

if
it is
to lead,
do it diligently;

if
it is
to show mercy,

do it
cheerfully.

Love in Action

9

Love

must be

sincere.

Hate

what is evil;

cling to

what is good.

10

Be devoted

to one another

in love.

Honor

one another

above yourselves.

11

 Never be lacking

in zeal,

but keep

your spiritual fervor,

serving the Lord.

Romans 12:1-11

1

11

THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS

THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS
JOHN CHAPTER 20

The Empty Tomb

1

Early on the first day
of the week,

while
it was still dark,

Mary Magdalene
went to the tomb

and saw that the stone
had been removed from
the entrance.

So she came running to
Simon Peter and the other disciple,
the one Jesus loved,

and said,

“They have taken
the Lord out of the tomb,

and we don’t know
where they have put him!”

So Peter and the other disciple
started for the tomb.

Both
were running,

but
the other disciple
outran Peter

and
reached the tomb
first.

5

 He bent over
and looked in at the strips of
linen lying there

but did not go in.

Then
Simon Peter came along
behind him and went straight
into the tomb.

He saw

the strips of linen

lying there,

as well as
the cloth that had been
wrapped around Jesus’ head.

The cloth was
still lying in its place,

separate
from the linen.

Finally
the other disciple,

who
had reached
the tomb first,

also
went inside.

He saw

and believed.

9

 (They still did not understand
from Scripture that Jesus had to
rise from the dead.)

10

Then
the disciples went back to
where they were
staying.

Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene

11

Now
Mary stood outside
the tomb

crying.

As she wept,
she bent over to look
into the tomb

12

and saw
two angels in white,

seated
where Jesus’ body
had been,

one at the
head

and the other
at the foot.

13

They asked her,

“Woman,
why are you crying?”

“They have taken
my Lord away,”

she said,

“and I don’t know
where they have put him.”

14

At this,

she
turned around

and saw
Jesus standing
there,

but
she did not realize

that
it was Jesus.

15

He asked her,

“Woman,
why are you crying?

Who is it
you are looking for?”

Thinking
he was the gardener,
she said,

“Sir,
if you have
carried him away,

tell me
where you have
put him,

and
I will get him.”

16

Jesus said to her,

“Mary.”

She turned

toward him

and cried out in Aramaic,

“Rabboni!
” (which means “Teacher”).

17

Jesus said,

“Do not hold on to me,

for I have not yet ascended

to the Father.

Go instead to my brothers

and tell them,

‘I am ascending

to my Father

and your Father,

to my God

and your God.’”

18

Mary Magdalene
went to the disciples
with the news:

“I have seen the Lord!”

And
she told them

that
he had said
these things to her.

Jesus Appears to His Disciples

19

On
the evening
of that first day of the week,

when
the disciples were
together,

with
the doors locked for fear
of the Jewish leaders,

Jesus

came

and stood

among them

and said,

“Peace be with you!”

20

After
he said this,

he
showed them
his hands and side.

The disciples were
overjoyed when they saw
the Lord.

21

Again
Jesus said,

“Peace be with you!

As
the Father has
sent me,

I am sending you.”

22

And with that

he breathed

on them

and said,

“Receive the Holy Spirit.

23

If you
forgive anyone’s
sins,

their sins are
forgiven;

if you do not
forgive them,
they are not forgiven.”

Jesus Appears to Thomas

24

Now Thomas
(also known as Didymus),

one of the Twelve,
was not with the disciples
when Jesus came.

25

So the other disciples
told him,

“We have seen the Lord!”

But
he said to them,

“Unless
I see the nail marks
in his hands

and
put my finger
where the nails were,

and
put my hand into
his side,

I will not believe.”

26

A week later

his disciples were
in the house
again,

and
Thomas was with
them.

Though
the doors were
locked,

Jesus came
and stood among
them  and said,

“Peace be with you!”

27

Then
he said to Thomas,

“Put your finger here;

see my hands.

Reach out your hand
and put it into my side.

Stop doubting

and believe.”

28

Thomas said to him,

“My Lord

and my God!”

29

Then
Jesus told him,

“Because
you have seen me,
you have believed;

blessed are
those who have not seen

and yet

have believed.”

The Purpose of John’s Gospel

30

Jesus
performed
many other signs
in the presence of his disciples,

which are not
recorded in this book.

31

But
these are written
that you may believe
that

Jesus is the Messiah,

the Son of God,

and that

by believing

you may have life

in his name.

John 20:1-31

20:1

For The Transgression of My People

For The Transgression of My People
Isaiah Chapter 53

1

Who
has believed
our message

and

to
whom
has the arm
of the Lord

been
revealed?

He
grew up
before him

like
a tender
shoot,

and

like
a root

out of
dry ground.

He
had no
beauty

or
majesty
to attract us
to him,

nothing

in
his
appearance

that
we should
desire
him.

He
was

despised

and

rejected

by
mankind,

a man of
suffering,

and
familiar
with pain.

Like
one from
whom

people
hide their
faces

he
was
despised,

and

we
held him
in low esteem.

Surely

he
took up
our pain

and

bore
our suffering,

yet

we
considered
him

punished
by God,

stricken
by him,

and
afflicted.

But

he
was
pierced

for
our
transgressions,

he
was
crushed

for
our
iniquities;

the
punishment

that

brought us

peace

was
on him,

and

by
his
wounds

we

are

healed.

We all,
like sheep,

have gone
astray,

each of us
has turned to
our own
way;

and

the Lord
has laid

on him

the
iniquity

of
us all.

He
was
oppressed
and afflicted,

yet

he

did not

open
his mouth;

he
was led
like a lamb

to
the slaughter,

and

as
a sheep
before its shearers
is silent,

so
he did not
open his mouth.

By
oppression

and
judgment

he was
taken away.

Yet

who
of his generation
protested?

For
he was
cut off

from
the land
of the living;

for

the
transgression

of
my people

he
was
punished.

He
was assigned
a grave

with
the wicked,

and
with the rich
in his death,

though
he had done
no violence,

nor
was any deceit
in his mouth.

10

Yet

it
was
the Lord’s will

to crush
him

and
cause him
to suffer,

and though
the Lord makes
his life

an offering

for sin,

he
will see
his offspring

and
prolong
his days,

and

the will
of the Lord

will
prosper

in

his

hand.

11

After

he
has
suffered,

he
will see

the light

of

life

and

be
satisfied;

by

his
knowledge

my
righteous
servant

will

justify

many,

and

he

will

bear

their
iniquities.

12

Therefore

I
will
give him
a portion

among
the great,

and

he will
divide the spoils

with
the strong,

because

he
poured out

his life

unto death,

and
was numbered

with
the transgressors.

For

he

bore

the sin

of many,

and

made

intercession

for

the transgressors.

Isaiah 53:1-12

53:1

USA street crime rate decreased
but white crime reached over trillion dollar?

AI Overview

Based on data available as of March 31, 2026, street crime rates in the United States decreased significantly in 2025, with several categories reaching historic lows, while the total economic cost of all crime (including white-collar crime) has long been estimated to exceed $1 trillion annually. [1, 2, 3]

Street Crime Rates (2025–2026 Trends)

  • Declines: Research from the Council on Criminal Justice (CCJ) covering 40 large U.S. cities showed a 21% drop in homicides and a 22% decrease in gun assaults in 2025 compared to 2024.
  • Historic Lows: Projections suggest the 2025 homicide rate could be the lowest in more than a century.
  • Comprehensive Drops: 11 of 13 offenses tracked by CCJ (including aggravated assaults and robbery) decreased in 2025.
  • Exceptions: Drug offenses saw a 7% increase in 2025, although they remained below pre-pandemic levels. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Economic Cost of Crime

  • White-Collar Crime: Estimates frequently cite that white-collar crime (fraud, money laundering, etc.) costs the US over $1 trillion annually.
  • Total Economic Impact: When including the costs of policing, corrections, and victims’ losses, some studies estimate the total annual burden of crime (street and corporate) on the US economy to be between $2.86 trillion and $5.76 trillion. [1, 2]
